As mentioned in the latest June Bacularis project report, we are working on refreshing the appearance of the Bacularis web interface. The goal of these changes is to improve readability, visual consistency, and the overall experience of working with the interface on a daily basis. The update includes areas such as:
Our goal has been to give the interface a modern look that fits today's enterprise-class software while maintaining the familiar Bacularis experience. Below you can see a few screenshots of the new design in both light and dark modes:
Starting with version 6.3.0, the new theme will become the default appearance of Bacularis. It will be available across the entire project, including both the web interface and the API panel, providing a consistent experience throughout Bacularis.
Please note that the screenshots shown here come from a development version. Work on the new design is still ongoing, so some elements may change before the final 6.3.0 release.
We would love to hear your thoughts on the upcoming theme. Feedback, suggestions, and comments are always welcome. You can share them on the Bacularis user forum or through any other public Bacularis communication channel. Thank you in advance for your feedback and support.
Users who prefer the current green theme do not need to worry. Alongside version 6.3.0, we plan to provide a dedicated template through the Add-ons Catalog that will restore a look similar to the current theme. Due to changes in styles and templates, it will not be an exact copy, but it will remain visually very close to the original design.
Another piece of good news is that themes available in the Add-ons Catalog are almost fully compatible with the new styling system and should not require significant modifications.
We hope that the new look will make everyday work with Bacularis even more comfortable. Thank you to everyone who supports the project and to all users who help shape the future of Bacularis through their feedback.
