Hello Everybody,
If you’d like to know what’s new in the Bacularis Project, this update is for you. Here’s a summary of what’s been happening, how things are going, and what’s coming next.
A week ago, we successfully released Bacularis 5.8.0.
We’re very happy about this new version and even more so to see growing engagement from our Community users.
A big thank you to everyone who contributes to Bacularis or supports the project in any way. Your help truly makes a difference!
Bacularis development along with all the necessary infrastructure is funded through our paid services.
This is currently the only way we can finance the project.
If you’d like to support Bacularis in this way, we warmly encourage you to do so.
You can find more details here:

We’re excited to announce a new feature planned for the next release: the Microsoft SQL Server database backup plugin!
This feature was requested by Community member @sistemas on the Bacularis User Group:
https://group.bacularis.app/d/82-feature-request-mssql-backup-plugin
We’re planning to include this plugin in the upcoming version.
If the MSSQL plugin development goes smoothly, we’re aiming to release the next version around early December 2025.
That’s a special time for Bacularis because December 6th marks the project’s fourth anniversary.
Thank you for being part of the Bacularis Community.
We wish you a fantastic November and see you in the next report!
On behalf of the Bacularis Team
Marcin Haba (gani)
