Bacularis has been created using Baculum's code. This way is starting a new episode in the Baculum story. This fork is a friendly fork that should help growing both applications. Changes between Baculum and Bacularis are synchronized in both ways as much as possible.

The main goal of Bacularis is simplicity. We hope to simplify using the Baculum interface functions that users without strong Bacula skills will be able to setup and use Bacula environment for backups. Also we are going to make installation and configuration process much easier.
